Blog

ThisĀ  is a space to share ideas with the wider population geography community and posts will be published quickly once accepted. Posts are typically around 500 words and we welcome accompanying images or figures.

We are looking for a broad range of content, which might include:

  • An opinion piece on any topic related to population geography.
  • A summary of a recent paper or book/chapter you have published. This can include a link to the full publication.
  • A review of a publication or book.
  • A brief piece of analysis, e.g. commentary on a newly released dataset.

To submit a blog post, please email the text as a Microsoft Word document and any accompanying images as .jpeg, .png or .tiff files to Nik Lomax n.m.lomax@leeds.ac.uk and Helen Packwood hcp1@st-andrews.ac.uk. If you want to discuss an idea for a post, please get in touch too.

As a research group we sponsor sessions at the Annual International Conference of the RGS (with IBG). We also hold our Annual General Meeting during this conference – this please come along to find out more.

Early Career

An important aim of the Group is to support early career population geographers and this will be a focus of our work in 2018-2019. If you are interested in being involved in this, please get in touch.
